Today I have something quite exciting to share with you. It seems pretty bizarre announcing a Christmas giveaway at the beginning of October but I just couldn't wait to get it up and running (and truthfully, before we know it, Saint Nick will be gliding down chimneys and Mariah Carey embedded in our brain).

As I've been suffering with severe writer's block this weekend, today's Sunday post isn't one we can natter about; as you can most probably tell with the lack of debatable contents (a Nars lippy just doesn't open for discussion) but what it does do is treat your lips to some luxury. I recently delved into the world of Space NK and made my very first purchase after I was tempted by their £10 off £40 spend. I'd heard so much about the Audacious lipstick's and thought it was about time I tried one for myself. After some profound um'ing and ahh'ing as to what shade I should pick, I went for Anita, an antique rose with warm undertones and a satin finish, and I haven't looked back since. Not only is the packaging super slick and the NARS engravement so pretty, it's also an extremely wearable lipstick with a beautiful long lasting formula, it's the perfect staple colour and really does look the part.

Aside from pretending I'm a successful millionaire strutting around the classy shops, another milestone I reached this week is my 500 bloglovin' followers goal (with some regular losses along the way). It may seem only small to some but we've all started somewhere and I'm beyond happy that I've gained a steady audience whom provide interaction which keeps me on my toes. You all know how much I love a pretty patterned dress as much as the next person, especially when it's gifted over from one of my most valued brands but what do you do when that dress just isn't suitable for your treacherous shape? Well you give another person the chance to flute around elegantly of course. Blue Vanilla kindly sent over this dress for me to sample but unfortunately it doesn't fit properly (perhaps this bikini body guide is working after all) which is why I am giving it away to one lucky winner. The dress is a size small, designed to fit a size 10 but there's probably a little room in there for some fluctuation. As lovely as it is, I was fully clueless on how to style it so I'd love to know how you'd make it your own. Giveaway: a Lush thank you

When I finally plucked up the courage to log on to blogger.com and start writing my very first blog post, I never expected anyone to be the slightest bit interested in what I had to say and show. Admittedly, I had no idea what I was doing at first and the awkward, slightly rubbish, amateur posts weren't the best kind, nor did they make much sense; but fast forward a year or so and I've reached 300 Bloglovin' followers, nearly 30,000 page views and an increasing amount of love and acceptance within the blogging community. I'm not going to run along the so soppy, it's cringe lines, but I will say I appreciate every comment from every reader, whether they're the ones who take the time out to acknowledge daily, or those who stop by on a one off to make me smile cheesily with their kind words. I can definitely say I now consider blogging a part of who I am; I enjoy planning and displaying the posts, reading other blogs for inspiration and setting myself goals to improve so my blogging success will (hopefully) continue to strive. That's all down to you lovely lot, which is why I decided to put together another small giveaway to unveil my gratitude. 

Anyway, moving on to said giveaway. I realisebd d I completely missed my one year blogging anniversary earlier this year which I was quite gutted about and ended up giving myself a secret slap so I told myself when I reach another milestone, I will plan a giveaway and I thought now (now I've reached the 300 stage) would be an appropriate time to hold that. Once again, it's nothing much. I've not attained the blogging stage where I'm able to access another source of income so all I have to rely on are my low funds BUT I don't think that matters, what I did do is include something what I, and many other bloggers seem to love and that's Lush bath treats. There's only five but they're some of my favourites and those goodies will make the perfect edition to someone's bathroom ready for a pampering night (or day). Since my last blog post, life has been pretty hectic. I don't know why, there was no particular explanation, but I just seemed to be non stop busy and blogging unfortunately had to be pushed to the back of my mind. I feel like I've been on a mini hiatus which has lead on to non-intended neglect on my blog and I didn't like that feeling so I thought I'd update you all with a few pictures on my recent Instagram happenings.

I've become a bit of an Instagram addict lately, I used to be so slack and unorganised with what I posted on there but now I like my pictures to all look similar, not be messy and to reflect my personality - bright and the lover of all things pretty (but that is subject to change). The limited bit of sunshine we've had this week up North put me in such a good mood and  made me feel all warm and summery which is why I felt the need to photograph some Spring like clothing. That 'too much shopping' habit has gotten worse, even despite me telling myself I need to cut down. A trip to town with my lovely mum last Thursday resulted in a girly day full of pizza, achy feet and too many bags weighing us down. I made the mistake of going into Primark for one thing and coming out with a bag full (AGAIN... oops!), I took advantage of the 3 for 2 at Boots and treated myself to some new makeup (I'm seriously loving the Rimmel Primer) and then I accidently stumbled into Lush; failing to resist the adorable bath bombs featured in the entrance. As you can see by the scary chocolate covered faces, I've also had my 9 year old cousin, Olivia stay with me from Friday to Sunday whilst her mum and dad were away for the weekend. There's never a dull moment when she's around, she's a complete madam with a bundle of energy but never the less, I enjoyed spending precious time with her, we not only had a laugh but we also shared our excitement/formidable dread for Friday. Speaking of Friday, the day I've been waiting on for months which has come around much quicker than expected, is nearly here! From what I've heard about The Wanted's last tour 'for a while' it's going to be an emotional rollercoaster. I don't think I'll be able to hold back the tears reliving the memories that have kept my head high for 4 years. Hopefully I'll be able to keep the sobbing at bay at the meet and greet as I don't fancy resembling a panda on the last photo I'll have with them. The next few days leading up to the event are more than likely going to be spent getting everything together and preparing for Friday but hopefully I can squeeze a blog post or two in there!

Hello you lovely lot! Hope you all had a brilliant weekend and a memorable Valentine's Day. I certainly did, not only did I stick to my plan of pampering like I said I would in this post (thank you so much for all your uplifting comments by the way), I reached 100 followers on Bloglovin'! I was so happy when I received my email congratulating me. It may not seem a lot to some, but it is for a newbie like me who started off their blog thinking nobody would be interested in the thoughts and ideas that spill from my ever so over driven mind.
