Happy hump day! How are we all? I'm currently nursing my second stinking head cold of the year and feeling extremely sorry for myself so along with making my way through my Easter egg collection, my rapid search of new clothing styles to add to my ongoing list has tripled in desire (if you listen quietly, you can almost hear the violins). Recently, I've been feeling daring enough to try something different, to ditch the classy at every hurdle and go all casually retro without worrying about losing that charm; because sometimes you just crave the dressing down design and today's wishlist definitely represents informal accoutre with character.
I've noticed a recurrent trend in animated, comic like patchwork pieces across the high street (and some designer) lately and I just think it has such a cool edge to it. I've picked out some of my favourite pieces - as expected most featured arise from my ultimate favourite Spanish brands Zara and Stradivarius - and I'm lusting in the uniqueness and preppy poise. Take a basic striped tee or white sweater, add all these embroidered appliqué badges with that whimsical touch and an amp of colour and you have a completely new invention. AND the greatest thing is, you can even purchase a set of quirky badges from almost anywhere to get crafty and custom up to your own befitting preferences. Pair with jeans, slouchy trousers, a pair of plimsolls and bob's your uncle.
Have you delved into this trend? Is it something that's captured your attention?
