I haven't shopped for new clothes in months whilst I skinned myself dry with holidays and events my bank balance most certainly wasn't accustomed to; which means I also made the rational decision to stay clear of Zara - the shop that tempts me and lures me into its grandeur displays just by strolling past the entrance because any kind of contact would quite clearly both increase my desire and desperation for a new wardrobe and empty my purse completely. Now we're into March and spring is hopefully rolling in (once we've shifted this bleak cold spell and Doris hangs up her boots) I thought it was about time for me to venture online and have my annual lurk - a bit like window shopping except it's just me rigorously adding items to my online basket.
Spring is my favourite season for various reasons but mainly because the temperature is balanced between being able to pull off the jumper and skirt with no jacket and tights look but still cool enough to follow on with my ankle boot fetish. I love the sudden burst of colour that has arrived on the high street lately and of course the minimalistic in me is appreciating the fact stripes and gingham are back in (I mean whenever did they leave?! Certainly not on my account!). Embroidery and allll the frills are also winning my heart and I just can't get enough of the nude pink hues as that sums up spring in all its glory. There's not a better place to start updating my sartorial selection than in the arms of Zara and I'm about to spend the rest of the night doing some serious lusting and possible spending...
Have you updated your wardrobe for spring? Where's your favourite place to shop?
